This week we take a quick break from all of the holiday goodies to take a look back at one of the biggest moments in recent Dick's Drive-In History. After 37 years of waiting for a new restaurant, Edmonds opened in 2011. Seven years later the Drive-In finally headed south of Seattle and opened in Kent on December 12, 2018. Today is Kent's 5th birthday and we are sharing memories from that day from some people very close to the Drive-In, Dick's son Jim, and his wife Fawn.Â
This week the DDIR elves are hard at work fulfilling the hundreds of orders we got during our Orange Weekend Sale. We will be back with more holiday fun and blogs next week!Â
It’s officially time to kick off the holidays and DDIR has you covered with a gift guide for everyone on your list and our annual Orange Weekend Sale!
We know spooky season is officially over but we have to have one last blog post to show off some of the great costumes from this year and our Pumpkin Carving Contest Winners!
It's time for part three of getting to know our amazing Dick's Drive-In team and this time we are headed over to our OPS department. The Operations team are the behind-the-scenes heroes that keep the restaurants running. From cutting paychecks and ordering supplies to making sure all of the tech works and so much more, they make it happen. This month we meet our tech guru extraordinaire, Stefan Bennett.Â
This week we take a quick break from all of the spooky to take a look back at one of the biggest moments in Dick's Drive-In History. After 37 years, the Drive-In finally expanded and opened a new restaurant in 2011. That restaurant was of course our Edmonds location, and this Friday, Oct. 20th, it turns 12 years old!Â
It's week two of spooky season and you can't have a good Halloween without a good pumpkin. We know that a lot of our fans are super crafty and super talented so we figured we needed another pumpkin carving contest this year!
Spooky season is officially here and your girl is a HUGE Halloween fan. There may have been Halloween decorations in the office around the beginning of September, but I can neither confirm nor deny those allegations. With that being said, you know we have to have some good DIY Drive-In costumes for you. If that sounds like your style, read on for step-by-step directions!
If you have been to one of our 9 locations around the greater Seattle area, you may have noticed a certain bovine keeping an eye on all of our restaurants. If you haven't, I'm betting you will now! That adorable-looking cow is actually the infamous Dick's Drive-In steer. Read his history here!
As I've said before, none of what I do would be possible without the amazing Marketing team that I am a part of. For part 2 in the "Get To Know Our Team" series we are meeting my boss and all-around Project Manager extraordinaire, Chelsea Young.
It is back-to-school season and with everyone getting ready to head off to college (or are already at college!) we are back with round two of our personal must-haves to survive the semester! Grab some for yourself or the student in your life.Â
