Care for Garment-Dyed Products
To maintain the unique vintage look and fit of your garment-dyed sweatshirt, please follow these specialized care instructions:
GENERAL WASHING
-
Wash Cold: Always use cold or lukewarm water with a mild detergent.
-
Wash Inside Out: This protects the surface pigment from friction in the machine.
-
Avoid "Oxi" Products: Do not use bleach or oxygen-based cleaners (like OxiClean), as they will strip the pigment and leave light spots.
SPOT REMOVAL (The "Gentle" Method)
If you get a stain, treat it immediately but cautiously:
-
Blot, Don’t Scrub: Never use a stiff brush or heavy scrubbing. Use a soft cloth and a gentle blotting motion.
-
Use Mild Soap: Apply a drop of clear dish soap (like Dawn) to the stain. Gently work it in with your fingertip.
-
Rinse from the Back: Run lukewarm water through the back of the fabric to push the stain out.
-
Air Dry First: Never put a stained item in the dryer. High heat will permanently "set" the stain. Air dry it first to ensure the spot is gone.
A Note on "Weathering": Because this item is pigment-dyed, slight color variations and natural fading over time are part of its character. Avoid concentrated spot cleaners to prevent localized "ghosting" or light patches.
