Get To Know Our Team part 1

By this time you've probably gotten at least an idea of who I am and what I do. None of that would be possible without the amazing Marketing team that I am a part of. I figured it was about time to introduce you to some of them, starting with our very own Design Director, Sig Gustafsson.

What is a short description of your job?

Every day I get to help support and grow the Dick's Drive-In brand through visual design. I genuinely love what I do at the Drive-In and in return enjoy the rewarding experience of helping to carry on the legacy of the Pacific Northwest's iconic brand through different areas of the company like our internal communication and training, external marketing, and apparel design to name a few.

How long have you been with the Drive-In?

I contracted for 10 years between 2010-2020 and then officially joined the team in the winter of 2020.

How did you get involved with the Drive-In?

I was originally asked to help design and create announcement posters for the new Edmonds location back in 2010-11. It was a very exciting project to work on as it was the first Drive-In to be built in over 30 years and the opportunity to work with an iconic brand like Dick's Drive-In.

What is your go-to Drive-In order?

Why mess with perfection... one Deluxe with a RoundUp and no bag.

What is your favorite menu item to recommend others should try?

A Hot Fudge Sundae with Strawberry ice cream; it's like a chocolate-covered strawberry in a bowl.

What is your favorite Online Store item (so far?)

My favorite is definitely the Mini Food Truck. As a kid, my life revolved around Hot Wheels and model cars... having a scaled replica of the Dick's Drive-In Food Truck (which I was fortunate to design both) is pretty special.

What is your favorite Drive-In memory?

Family and food go pretty much hand-in-hand for me. Anytime I’m with family, good food is always close by. Whether the Drive-In is/was the destination or the pit stop along many of our family adventures, sharing a burger, fry, and shake with the most important people in my life is what fills my memory cup :)

What do you like to do outside of work?

It sounds a little cliche, though when I’m not working, my family and I enjoy traveling. Sometimes it's an in-state, one-day adventure other times it's an out-of-state, multi-week adventure. All in all, my wife, three boys and I like to share time exploring new places to see, learn, and experience. It’s all part of creating new memories and enjoying family time away from the business of life.
