Summer Fun Part 1!
Can you believe it's already August? Where did the time go?!? Over here at the Drive-In some of that time went towards the incredible events that we celebrated during the last week of July and the beginning of August. Buckle up because it has been quite a ride!
We started the festivities with our soft open on Wednesday, July 26th. This was an invite-only event for those that helped make the restaurant a reality as well as first responders in the Federal Way area. It also gave our incredible crew a chance to actually feed people from the restaurant for the very first time. And while we are speaking of rides, I have to give a HUGE shout-out to all of the incredible first responders who let me be a big ole' kid and sit in all of the cool vehicles they arrived in. Best. Day. Ever.
Then the big day was here! Thursday, July 27th at 10:30 am we cut the ribbon at Federal Way to officially open up our 9th location. The festivities were out of this world with our pop-up apparel booth featuring exclusive FW merch, a photo booth, a face painter, and a DJ playing tunes to keep everyone in the celebratory mood. We also had some of our special friends in attendance including Gnarls206, Dash Dog and Smol Dog, and Luke Rogers Racing. Federal Way really turned out and showed their support for our big party.
Saturday we were back for round two with all of the great stuff we had on Thursday PLUS 6 live bands! Big thanks to Mirrorgloss, Rani Weatherby, Brittany Allyson, Liv Victorino, La Fonda Sisters, and Pike Street Drummer for bringing their sick beats to our party. Now if you thought that was enough partying for our team, you would be wrong! We also helped kick off Seafair Weekend by taking our Food Truck out for its very first Torchlight parade! Our "crew" walked with the truck and gave out fun swag and even a few cheeseburgers. From what I heard the crowd response was amazing! Y'all really know how to show the burger love.
